M.R. Insolvency is an independent insolvency practice led by Michael Royce, licenced Insolvency Practitioner working across England and Wales.
Michael is licensed by the Insolvency Practitioners Association and is a member of R3 (The Association of Business Recovery Professionals).
After gaining experience in his early career as an accountant, Michael moved to set up his own practice in 2017. His overall aim: to offer insolvency services to individuals or small and medium sized companies who are facing financial difficulties.
The team at M.R. Insolvency acknowledge that discussing personal and business issues can be challenging – Michael has an experienced team of colleagues who support him in the day-to-day management of cases, all provide an ethically led, compliant service.
Michael prides himself on offering professional, impartial advice, in a familiar place and having a comfortable office space on the outskirts of Leeds allows for flexibility when it comes to meeting. We are happy to meet at your preferred location to talk through initial points alternatively, we have a private, welcoming meeting space should you wish to visit us.

“Initially, I trained to become an accountant at a local firm in Huddersfield achieving the AAT (Association of Accounting Technician) qualification before starting my journey within the Insolvency profession. I qualified as a Licenced Insolvency Practitioner in 2009.
During my time in Insolvency, I have dealt with a range of Administrations, Liquidations, Company Voluntary Arrangements for sectors including hospitality, construction, manufacturing, retail to mention a few. I have also assisted with a number of Solvent Liquidations which include s110 reconstructions.
Outside of work, I play football for my local team which I have for over 20 years. I also enjoy watching Leeds United and Chicago Bears, mainly as an armchair supporter. I enjoy playing golf and travel to new parts of the world whenever I can.”
